Low-carbon 316L welded stainless steel pipe with molybdenum addition for superior chloride and seawater corrosion resistance. Bright annealed, pickled and polished as required.
316L welded pipe is formed from a pickled 316L strip, welded longitudinally, then bright annealed. Le “L” means extra low carbon (≤ 0.03 %), which resists carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion after welding.

Applications
316L welded pipe is used in seawater piping, chemical and petrochemical lines, desalination, food and dairy processing, pharmaceutical tubing, échangeurs de chaleur, architectural handrails and general welded pipe systems. For seamless alternative, see our 304 seamless stainless tube.

Hydrostatic test, eddy current test, flattening, flaring, intergranular corrosion test and PMI spectrometer check are all available. Mill test certificate (DANS 10204 3.1) included with every order.
