Stainless steel strip orders are easier to compare when the quotation includes more than grade and price. Width tolerance, edge condition, surface appearance and coil size can all affect how the material runs through your equipment. Start with the stainless steel strip grade and application

If the grade has not been selected, include the service environment and ask for a technical review before confirming an order.

Define dimensions and tolerances separately

State thickness and width in millimetres, then list the tolerance for each. Include the required quantity and whether it is measured by weight, length or number of coils. A nominal size alone does not describe the acceptable variation.
