Low-carbon molybdenum austenitic stainless round bar for marine, chemical and pump shaft applications where pitting resistance is critical.

316L stainless steel round bar is the low-carbon version of 316, with 2 – 2.5 % molybdenum added. It offers superior pitting and crevice corrosion resistance over 304, especially in chloride and marine environments, and is the standard choice for pump shafts, fasteners and chemical equipment.

Applications
