How to Choose the Right Equal Angle Bar: A Practical Guide

How to Choose the Right Equal Angle Bar: A Practical Guide

Equal angle bar is one of the most versatile structural sections — used in frames, soportes, towers, racks and furniture. Yet buyers often pick the wrong material. This guide covers the three main families: carbon, stainless and aluminum.

Carbon Steel Angle (Q235B / Q355B)

The lowest-cost option. Q235B is for general fabrication; Q355B is for heavier loads and lighter weight structures. Both need paint or galvanizing outdoors. See our Q235B angle, Q355B angle y galvanized angle.

Ángulo de acero inoxidable (304 / 316l)

Stainless angle does not rust and has a bright finish. It is used in food equipment, architectural trim, coastal structures and chemical racks. 304 handles normal indoor and outdoor air; 316L is for chloride and splash zones. See our stainless angle range y 304 equal angle.

ángulo de aluminio (6061 / 6063)

Aluminum angle is one-third the weight of steel and needs no painting. 6063 T5 is the architectural / decorative choice; 6061 T6 is the structural / machinable choice. See our aluminum angle range y 6063 T5 angle.
